Please find a list of exceptional closures and opening time changes at London attractions. This information is correct at the time of issue and is subject to change at short notice, at the discretion of the attraction. Big Bus London Hop On Hop Off Tou

1 October: Ashura Day Procession,
from 14.30
Closed stops:

  • 2 (blue, Oxford St)
  • 3 (blue, Regent Street)
  • 4 (blue, Piccadilly Circus)
  • 5 (blue, Haymarket)
  • 6 (blue, red, Trafalgar Square) 

Those wishing to go in a eastbound direction should hop-on at Baker Street (stop 1 on blue route) or Craig's Court (stop 7 on blue routes). 

2 October: Lord Chancellor's Breakfast
Closed Stops:

  • Stop 17 (blue, Parliament Square)
  • Stop 18 (blue, Tothill St)

For those going in a westbound direction they should hop-on at our Buckingham Palace (Stop 19, blue route).

7 October: Football Lads Alliance March
All day: 

  • 12 (red/blue, St Paul's Cathedral) - buses will not be stopping here but will be serving TFL stop 'SM' on New Change, outside Boots Pharmacy

From 13:00 the following stops will be closed until Park Lane reopens: 

  • 23 (red/blue, Queen Mother Gates) 
  • 24 (red/blue, Marble Arch) 
  • 25 (red/blue, Mayfair) 
  • 26 (red/blue, Green Park)

For customers heading eastbound towards the nearest stop will be stop 27 (Hyde Park Corner, opposite Hard Rock Cafe). Those heading westbound on the blue route the nearest stop will be stop 28 (Hyde Park Corner, outside Lanesborough Hotel). 

From 14:00 until Westminster Bridge clears:

  • 5 (blue, Haymarket)
  • 6 (red/blue, Trafalgar Square)
  • 7 (blue, Craig's Court)
  • 8 (blue, Whitehall)
  • 9 (red/blue, London Eye)
  • 10 (red/blue, Waterloo)
  • 41 (red, Whitehall)

For those heading eastbound on the red or blue route the nearest stop will be stop 11. 

8 October: Royal Marks Half Marathon
All day:

For those heading eastbound on the blue route, bus stop 4 (Piccadilly Circus) will be the closest stop. For those heading eastbound on the red route bus stop 26 (Green Park) will be the closest stop.

For those heading westbound, stop 29 (Harrods) on the blue route will be the nearest stop. 

On Sunday Stop 39 (red, York Road) will be served by green routes so that customers cana ccess blue and red routes. Once Aldwych reopens green routes will revert back to their normal line of route.

Westminster Abbey
During busy periods it may be necessary to arrive at the Abbey well in advance of the advertised closing time, as there may be queues. If the queue is legnthy, visitors will be advised at least 15 minutes prior to closing as to the likelihood of entry.
